She truly is my work buddy. I feel so blessed I’ve had the ability to bring my kids with me to work- some days it makes a bit hard to get anything done but others, it’s perfect. In the same few months of deciding to go for it and open So Me 10 years ago, I found out I was pregnant and in ten years, 3 kids have joined me at work. ❤️ I just had the most beautiful visit by an older gentleman who was looking for the woman who gifted him a special quilt made to celebrate his time served in Vietnam. He showed up to the “Quilt Building” - (he was sent our way because it’s the New Home to So Me at the end of the month.) He wanted to personally Thank the past owner and began to cry as he told me the story. If you know me, you know, we were both crying as one over this beautiful gesture that meant the world to him. I told him my Dad served as a Paratrooper In the 82nd airborne in Vietnam. I thanked him for his service and for the pleasure of meeting him. He put his hand over his heart and with tears in his eyes said “Thank Your Dad for his service” Grateful for the meetings of so many who have walked through these doors of So Me. 10 years of people and stories coming to a close in this space but many, many more to come in our new space - The old Quilt building- that brought this lovely man to visit me today. Here’s to new adventures, new people, new stories, new designs and new memories.
